Which project management tool should you be using?

Digital project management tools can be the key to freeing up your task-filled brain, helping team members work together more seamlessly, and organizing overlapping projects within your business ecosystem.

The beginning question that my clients often get stuck on:

❀  WHICH project management tool should we use? ❀

I've often caught myself thinking, "Ultimately, aren't they pretty much the same? They all do very similar things."

 Which is true to an extent. AND I've spent a lot of time recently researching and experimenting with different platforms to parce out what truly sets them apart. So I present to you...

 The Project Management Tool 2024 International Showdown (a.k.a. quick comparison guide to ClickUp vs. Asana vs. Notion vs. Monday).

ClickUp

Pros: In-house documents, subfolders, and whiteboards; "all of the bells and whistles," plus they're releasing new features all the time;

Cons: Less friendly user interface; steeper learning curve; takes a longer time to load; costs extra for guests to have editing permissions;

Best for: The tech-savvy among ye who love to build out automations and optimize added features;

Asana

Pros: Friendly interface; easy to set up recurring tasks; non-billable guests can be invited to specific projects or tasks;

Cons: No in-house documents, whiteboards, or subfolders; chose a Sanskrit word for their company but pronounce it incorrectly (yikes);

Best for: Keeping it simple and sharing user-friendly PM boards with outside parties;

Notion

Pros: Super customizable and aesthetically pleasing; non-billable guests can be invited to pages; great for collaborative documents;

Cons: Can't easily do recurring tasks; less structured and thus can be overwhelming to set up; less focus on task management:

Best for: Creative planning, project brainstorming, client portals, and collaborative documents;

Monday

Pros: In-house documents, subfolders, and customizable analysis dashboards; Very friendly user interface and automations;

Cons: Basic features require extra fees—recurring tasks, integrations, board views, adding guests to specific boards or folders;

Best for: Folks interested in analyzing their team's productivity stats on a granular level;
